Ever since she and Ben Cooke invented the pob I’ve kept a keen eye on Victoria Beckham, certain that subsequent hair styles would become 2008′s hair trends. Then she changed it altogether, lost the L.A look, and returned to her natural brunette colour – and as Victoria begins a world tour with the Spice Girls it’s the hair style she’s promoted ever since.

Well almost all she’s promoted. Taking a look at current fashion magazines you could be forgiven for thinking that Victoria hasn’t ditched the pob at all – even as cover girl for the January 2008 of ELLE magazine Posh is sporting the Pob.

And with the mixed messages and the hype surrounding the pob, I’m still not certain that Beckham is going to be setting a new hair trend with the ‘brunette pob’. But it will, at least, present a counter to ‘The Kate’, Kate Moss’ hair trend, sure to be seen on blondes everywhere.

Late one Oxford night Daniel P Dykes set about creating a fashion publication that would go someway to being an arbiter on fashion as it appeals to the emerging power generations: those who don't remember a world without the Internet and for whom work plays second fiddle to pleasure. And so Fashionising.com was born as a publication for those who were focussed not just on fashion's trends, but on society's too, and how those trends could all go to heighten the art of living. Hence, Daniel sees a future where, for those young at heart, both fashion and style are grounded in traditional quality, but with a youthful, sensualised edge. Daniel is Fashionising.com's Editor in Chief and Chairman.
