Juxtaposed against layers, in Summer or Winter, or even under a hat, the side braid remains the 2010 hair trend for a reason: it never ceases to capture the eye nor fails to inspire.

Some may say otherwise: that side braids all look the same. I’d beg to differ. Glance at the above street style snap and you’ll see side braid play second fiddle to the head piece. Look closer and you’ll see the individualism shine through; this particular take on the side braid isn’t worn precisely as the trend ‘defines’. Rather, the braid is much neater than what we’ve grown accustomed to, and the fringe (normally exposed and side swept) is tucked away.

Small personalisations yes, but ones that sit perfectly with the rest of the outfit.

He was 5 when his teacher wrote on his report card “Daniel can’t sit still.” Taking it as a compliment, he’s been on the go ever since. Having flown over 590,000 kilometres in a single year (2012), he’s done much to push the boundaries of a fashioniser, always looking to fold one extra Tom Ford suit into his set of Samsonite cases and for one extra occasion to tie a tie for. As much an editor-at-large as he is Fashionising.com’s Editor in Chief, when he's not travelling to all the fashion weeks his passports will allow him to, Daniel works on guiding this publication’s editorial and trend views. He is one of Fashionising.com’s co-founders.
