How to: Nina Ricci’s ultra-feminine low ponytail.

To achieve the sleek, smooth texture defining this particular style, make sure you start by applying an anti-frizz product onto your damp hair. Backstage at Nina Ricci, Guido used Redken’s outshine 01 anti-frizz polishing milk.
For a natural and healthy shine, add a dab of shine serum on the ends of your hair, comb through using a round brush to smooth the cuticle and proceed to blow dry softly. Guido used Redken’s diamond oil shatterproof shine.
If you still feel your hair isn’t sleek enough, you can proceed to further straighten it using a flat iron. To smooth the fly aways, use a tooth brush and a bit of hairspray and set them in place.

Next, create an abbreviated center part using a rat-tail comb. To guide the part flawlessly, place the comb at the tip of your nose and draw a path straight to your hairline. Afterwards tease the hair lightly at the crown for some slight volume.
Gather the hair loosely at the nape of your neck making sure it sits above the ears. Next, secure the ponytail at shoulder level using a hair tie or an elastic.
To achieve the same romantic feel seen at Nina Ricci, use a black silky ribbon to cover the elastic, tying it around in a delicate bow.
Finish off the look by gently pulling loose a few strands of hair from around the face. Not too many though, because you still want the look to be polished and just slightly undone.
