“The hair at Balenciaga is very natural, yet it’s smooth, not frizzy. I didn’t want to create big hair here today, but I still wanted it to feel very modern and rich. The style also fit with the metal hairpieces that Nicolas provided,” explained Guido Palau, Redken Creative Consultant.

How to: Balenciaga’s ethereal half-up hairstyle

Apply an anti-frizz product on damp hair to achieve that sleek and smooth finish. Backstage at Balenciaga, Redken’s outshine 01 polishing milk was used. Blow dry roughly using your fingers right after.
In Balenciaga’s show, a messy centre part was created but you can change it to what you want. Add dry shampoo or aerosol hair powder to get that natural texture.
Take two side sections from the front and pull them back just below the crown and secure with pins.

Set your hair by spraying it with an instant finishing spray. The Redken team used quick dry 18 finishing spray. Now, this is the part where you can add clips, pins or headpieces to complete the look.
