How to: Lanvin’s roll-out-of-bed easy textured hair

As one of the biggest names in fashion, the Lanvin show is something that we always look forward to – not just for the clothes but for the hair and beauty looks as well.

Lanvin’s spring 2014 hairstyle was carefree and natural. While most runways sport uniformity across all of the models, this variation on bedhair was styled according to the cut and natural texture of each model’s hair. Created by Redken’s Guido Palau, this effortlessly chic style is thus easy to recreate, regardless of whether your hair is chin-length, shoulder length, straight or wavy. It’s the kind of style you can do when you’ve just rolled out of bed and don’t have time for blow-drying and straightening.

Follow the steps after the break.

How to: Lanvin textured side part

Start by spraying on some volumizing spray or mousse on your damp hair. For the Lanvin show, Redken Guts 10 Volume Spray Foam was used.
Once you’ve applied the product, let your hair dry naturally to keep it’s natural texture and then create a deep side part. The part doesn’t have to be perfect – this look is all about letting the hair do what it wants to rather than going against the grain.
To create more texture and volume apply a teasing spray like Redken Quick Tease 15 Backcombing Finishing Spray at the roots.
For the lengths of your hair apply spray-wax like Redken Wax Blast 10 High Impact. This will give it plenty of texture.

You have the option to tie your hair into a loose low ponytail with an elastic or you can just leave it down: either way works for this look.

What makes this look effortless is the fact that you use the natural texture of your hair. If you think about it, this way of styling leaves no room for error and more room for a hairstyle that will last all day.
