Occasionally that change comes by way of body shape or age or styling. More often than not, it comes down to hair. Much like Anja Rubik or Freja Beha Erichsen suddenly rocketed into the spotlight after taking scissors to hair, Ruby Jean Wilson’s peroxide blonde bob was a magnet for the spotlight. It’s reported Wilson didn’t just open Marc Jacobs’ show, she was muse to it. “Sometimes a girl comes in and becomes Marc’s muse… [This season], a lot of girls are based on Ruby,” said hairstylist of the show, Guido Palau. With Marc Jacobs’ Edie Sedgwick-inspired theme, it’s no real wonder.
