This season the runways have been home to a huge number of natural looking hairstyles but for the Versace show, we got hair that’s far from normal or everyday looking.

Guido Palau of Redken took the ’60s hair trend of the past few seasons and turned it into a 2014 hairstyle that coincides with Versace’s iconic style. It features straight hair with volume at the roots – truly reflecting the strength and stylishness of the Versace woman, and making it one of the must try looks for this season.

How to: Versace’s straight, sleek ’60s hair

To cut the drying time in half Redken Pillow Proof Blowdry was used for the show. If you’re in a hurry you can apply this on damp hair or you can simply skip this step and just allot more drying time to your hair.
To get the volume needed on the crown of your hair, apply some volumizing spray or mousse on that area. Redken Guts 10 was used at the show.

Next, blow dry your hair with a natural bristle brush and then spray on some finishing thermal spray like Redken Iron Shape 11 on it. This will protect the integrity of your hair.
For that super straight look, take a flat iron and iron your hair straight. The best way to do this is section by section.
Take your natural bristle brush and just backcomb your hair to get that lifted / volumized look on the roots of your hair. Start underneath at the crown and work in sections to the top of the crown.

Finish your hairstyle by creating a short side part in the front section of your hair. Keep the front strands super-sleek and straight, only teasing the section behind.
