Swimsuits looked twice as good when paired up with the gorgeous hairstyle Redken’s Paloma Rose Garcia made for the group swim show during Australian Fashion Week (MBFWA). The hairstyle featured dream-like S-waves that gave out an elegant bohemian vibe. Softly sculpted waves bounced as the models strutted the runway in beautiful summer-ready swimsuits, heightened by the addition of some twisted-back strands. Chasing the sun never looked so glamorous and we have the steps on how to get this 2014 hairstyle. Read on after the break for the complete how to. How to: soft waves with a twist This hairstyle has a lot of volume, so start by applying volumizing spray and mousse all over your hair. For the group swim show, Redken Rootful 06 and Redken Pillow Proof Express Primer were used on the roots to the lengths of the hair. Next, create a center part and then blow dry your hair smooth. Direct your hair back from your face as you’re drying it. Take a curling iron, preferably 1 1/2 inches in size. Starting from the back, curl your hair in vertical sections. Once you’ve reached the front section of your hair, curl away from your face. Break or soften your curls by combing your hair with a soft bristle brush. For the beach waves look, dust on some mattifying powder on the crown of your hair and then gently backcomb for added texture. Finish your hairstyle by taking two sections from the front of your face. Twist these sections and tie them together at the back of your head with a small elastic. While this look was used at the group swim show, you don’t have to be at the beach to wear it. This hairstyle can easily be incorporated into any ensemble, day or night. The volume and texture is enough to give you an extra boost of confidence that will surely get heads turning.
