D&G is no more

After 26 years, designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana announce that spring 2012 will be their D&G label’s last independent season.

We are going through a very happy moment of our lives.

From the upcoming seasons, D&G will become part of Dolce & Gabbana, giving even more strength and energy to our collections.

To us, it’s like going back to when we began our adventure: full of ideas.

We have a lot of new projects to start in the same way as many years ago when D&G was born.

This is our new reality.

And we are extremely happy about it…

Late one Oxford night Daniel P Dykes set about creating a fashion publication that would go someway to being an arbiter on fashion as it appeals to the emerging power generations: those who don't remember a world without the Internet and for whom work plays second fiddle to pleasure. And so Fashionising.com was born as a publication for those who were focussed not just on fashion's trends, but on society's too, and how those trends could all go to heighten the art of living. Hence, Daniel sees a future where, for those young at heart, both fashion and style are grounded in traditional quality, but with a youthful, sensualised edge.
