“Steven Cox and Daniel Silver earned another kudos for their menswear label ‘Duckie Brown’ for their nomination as 2007 CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year Award.
Nominated last year for the CFDA Perry Ellis New Menswear Award, garnering recognition for one of CFDA’s highest honors is a natural progression of things. The amazing part is that the design duo, one a Tommy Hilfiger vet and the other a former TV producer reached the top within five years after they launched their label.
Still, for fashion observers, it was never a matter of ‘IF’ but only a matter of ‘WHEN’ for their peers to recognize the design talents of Steven Cox and Daniel Silver. Their unique vision for men’s dressing that borders on ‘street wear and the classic’ has a very fashion forward attitude that are aspirational.”
