Getting Your Clothing Designs Into Stores

Written by Daniel P Dykes

There are many a great designers out there who will never become a known name simply because they never managed to get stocked in stores. The Indie Clothing Blog comes to the rescue with an excellent look at how to solve the problem and get your clothing stocked in stores.

Now that you have the correct buyer address, you should send them a "one-sheet". A one-sheet is a showcase of your designs and any press you've received crammed on a piece of paper or a post-card. It's a great step-by-step guide covering everything from agents to face-to-face meetings.

Traditionalist and futurist are two of the labels applied to Daniel, but he sees the two as being in perfect balance. With a keen eye on the future and his finger on the pulse he helps keep fashionisers everywhere ahead in the fashion stakes as Fashionising.com's lead fashion trend analyst. Believing that the late-2000s credit crisis will be ultimately good for fashion, Daniel sees a future for fashion where grounded in traditional values; where luxury fashion again comes to represent quality production as opposed to being solely label driven.
