2011′s LMFF (L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival) is certainly shaping up to be precisely as big as the event’s creative director Grant Pearce promised with news today that Jefferson Hack, co-founder of Dazed & Confused, founder of the Another magazines and all round sartorial ace, will be participating in the 2011 LMFF Business Seminar.
For those who don’t know of Hack’s impact on the world of fashion (and therefore aren’t has pleased to have already snapped up their business seminar tickets:
In the early 90′s he founded Dazed & Confused with photographer Rankin. The monthly magazine soon grew into the mouthpiece for the 90s explosion of talent in British music, art, fashion and film. It is now internationally recognised for its style, arts coverage, hard hitting social justice campaigns and influence on culture at large, and has sister versions in Japan and South Korea.
Hack launched the fashion biannual AnOther Magazine in 2001. In October 2005, Jefferson added AnOtherMan to the still staunchly independent publishing house and both have come to be recognised for their visionary and world-class fashion and editorial content.
He has interviewed some of the world’s leading cultural figures including Patti Smith, Julie Christie, Bono, Mia Farrow and Björk. He launched the ideas sharing network DazedDigital.com in Autumn 2006 and interactive luxury platform Anothermag.com in February 2010.
Hack is a man with his finger on the pulse and I can’t wait to see what he imparts.
Tickets for the business seminar are currently available through Ticketmaster for AU$450.
