Topshop will reportedly dispose of over 1000 yellow dungaree dresses after a legal dispute with Chloe.

Selling an average of 30 pairs of knickers a minute and 6000 pairs of jeans a day, Topshop agreed to pay $12,000 in compensation and legal costs to Chloe.

Topshop’s version of Chloe’s Sea Cruise dress cost only $35, in comparison to the $185 Chloe design.

Sir Philip Green told the Times: “We paid them over $12,000 without any admission whether it was or it wasn’t [a copy]. We felt it was easier to do that and get on with the rest of our lives.”

Chloe previously took action against former internet retailer Bananasoup.com over a fake version of their best selling Paddington bag.
