We’ve been highlighting some of the instances where old media meets new of late, and here’s another take from self service magazine. Again, as is the trend, it’s a video promoting their current issue (and its Kate Moss photo shoot). However, where it differs is that it’s not your usual ‘behind the scenes’ fare – instead it’s a simple video of the magazine being flipped through. It’s product standard is fine, the budget obviously low, and it’s never going to spread as far as wide as some of the other videos that have been offered up by print media. So why feature it then? Because it is still remarkable for one reason: despite being so simple, it exists. And that raises the question as to why many other old media titles are still failing to produce their own take on the promotional video for a print product?
