Written by Ren on 07.08.07

Victoria Beckham is apparently consulting with stylist to the stars, Rachel Zoe.

Rachel Zoe has been accused of using a veterinary medicine called Clenbuterol to rapidly lose weight. She has styled the likes of Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, Kate Beckinsale, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Garner, Paris Hilton and Keira Knightley in the past.

Fashgasm 04.08 - get your friends killed

Written by Daniel P Dykes on 04.08.07

So another week of fashion and something is always happening, even if people tell you otherwise.

Azzedine Alaia is getting his name back. It's not that he ever lost it, Prada are just nice enough to give it back to him. Did we say give? We meant sell.

Donatella Versace wants to be the one dressing the Spice Girls for their upcoming tour. So much so she's already designed outfits that will cost us to US$400,000. Ticket prices are likely to rise.

We've learnt that some people will strip down to their bare essentials to get free clothing. We've also learnt it's seldom a pretty sight.

James Piatt has released what he calls the Persuader. It's a machine gun shaped handbag. Buy one for all the friends you don't like. Not because it's ugly, but because in the post 11 September world they're likely to be shot for carrying one.

Jacqui Alexander - new face of MMSFW

Written by Daniel P Dykes on 02.08.07

Only a fortnight after dumping Claire Quirk, the Melbourne City Council have announced that model and fashion designer Jacqui Alexander is the new face of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW).

Alexander, who hit the press earlier this year after becoming the youngest fashion designer to be stocked at London's Harvey Nichols, is naturally excited about her upcoming role. She's also aware that MMSFW is one of the few fashion events truly open to the fashionistas who make the industry possible; "This show, unlike many others I've been involved in, really celebrates fashion and opens fashion up to the public, who normally get excluded from industry events," she told the Herald Sun.

Interview with Minki Bae from Rosemin

Written by Simone on 31.07.07

by Simone Turner

So you want to be a fashion designer...
Ever dreamt you'd work for one of Melbourne's exclusive fashion labels? Maybe imagined seeing a garment you designed on a celebrity? Or perhaps, longed for the freedom to be creative and express your own ideas in your everyday job?

It can happen...
Meet Minki Bae, 22 year old fashion designer for Rosemin, Melbourne, Victoria. She already works for a successful fashion label, has traveled half the world, owns a wardrobe to die for, and a blooming career. Anyone wanting this kind of success may feel envious, but before you think "oh it's who you know", think again. Minki comes from Korea and landed in Melbourne knowing only one person. Her career proves that if you want to get somewhere the number one thing is to believe in yourself and have that drive and persistence. "Don't be afraid and just be confident. Some of my friends have wanted to go for jobs but say "oh I would never get it though", but I say "don't worry about that, give it a go and don't be scared".

One of the reasons why many of us doubt ourselves is because firstly, we think we don't have enough experience to be a fashion designer or secondly, we're simply not good enough.

Minki gives us the low down on how she broke into the fashion industry and why she never stopped believing in herself.

Anorexic - Sexy or Rexy

Written by Ren on 31.07.07

Apparently there is a new term to hit the streets - A hybrid of the words Anorexic and Sexy - "Rexy."

Kate Moss has coined the term with her friends, including Sadie Frost, when discussing their body shapes.

The source told the Mail "It is used by Kate, Sadie Frost and other members of the A-list crowd to make a statement to each other that they are looking good."

"It is not an insult it is a compliment."

The supermodel once said: "It's flattering that other women want to look like me... but I am fed up with all the scandal about my weight. I'm just skinny."

Topshop will reportedly dispose of over 1000 yellow dungaree dresses after a legal dispute with Chloe.

Selling an average of 30 pairs of knickers a minute and 6000 pairs of jeans a day, Topshop agreed to pay $12,000 in compensation and legal costs to Chloe.

Topshop's version of Chloe's Sea Cruise dress cost only $35, in comparison to the $185 Chloe design.
