DKNY Chari.Tee: tee with a cause

Written by Tania Braukamper on 10.08.09

DKNY's cleverly-named Chari.Tee is not only cute, with it's white-on-black New York skyline meets fashion sketch... It's also in support of a cause. Or five causes, really. Each buyer who nabs one of the tees gets to select one of five charities for their purchase to go towards. At $65, it's a pretty good excuse to add a cute new t-shirt into your wardrobe.

Myer's Emporium Melbourne: chavs rejoice

Written by Daniel P Dykes on 27.07.09

Failing to understand that their dwindling margins and relevance to Australian shoppers has more to do with a lack of culture, terrible service and worse stock, Australian retailer Myer have succeeded in pushing for the demolition of Lonsdale House, one of Melbourne's heritage Art Deco landmarks, and the neighbouring Caledonian Lane.

While architectural news is seldom a feature of Fashionising.com, the decision beggars belief. Yes, the Victorian government's contemptuous disregard for Melbourne's heritage is hardly a secret, but Myer's failure to understand their irrelevance to consumers can only raise questions about why they're still in business.

2010 Pirelli CalendarWe mentioned in the fashion forums that photographer Terry Richardson would be shooting the 2010 Pirelli Calendar, and today we have our first glimpse of some behind-the-scenes action.

A small taste of what's to come in the calendar, we have to admit that we're not entirely certain who the model is. Could it be model Catherine McNeil posing nude on horseback?
