I started my own jewellery design business - Joolz - a few years ago, with just a dream and a jewellery obsession. Things have come along nicely since then, its all going in the right direction. Its growing at a decent pace, I'm at it 24-7 and am totally absorbed by it so there really wasn't ever a choice about whether it would develop into a workable business. Nolcha (NY) has just listed Joolz in the Top 100 indie designers in the world.

Are you coming along on Sat to the Georges pop-up for a cupcake? I'm thinking of doing a little show in that lovely red carpet & chandelier space sometime before Christmas... it just screams out for one every time I look at it.

I love shoes. And jewellery. Ooo and hats! Possibly have too much of them... is that really possible?There are things that are timeless, and then there are things that should never have been allowed to see the light of day. Nothing wrong with experimentation but please look in the mirror before leaving the house. I adore a pinstriped three-piece vintage suit with something interesting added to it - scarf, brooch, or hat, mmm hats, did I mention I like them?

I was invited to enter the Essential Awards & placed Runner Up for Accessories Brand of the Year 2007, beating Dolce&Gabbana, Guess, Adidas, Swatch, Fossil etc.
Some of my joolz designs have been in Vogue, New Woman, FHM, ACS, Honestly Woman, I'm working on being in the other fashion mags, have had coverage in newspapers around Australia, I'm just working away on raising the profile of the designs at the moment. Media attention increased thanks to the Essential Awards win :)
I've got a couple of celebrity clients under the belt now, and working on getting a few more. The more the better of course! And Adrian & Kirk, both from Vogue, have said they think I'm 'a designer to watch'.
Interests
I donate Joolz to a number of different charities to assist with their fundraising events, including the Starlight Foundation.I like eco-friendly options. It makes me feel better about driving a car and using glad-wrap!
