Throughout time, some of the more obvious celebrity hair trends have come from Farah Fawcett, Marilyn Monroe, Lady Diana and of course Jennifer Anniston with her 'Rachel' cut from Friends.
But as we move further away from the mid 1990s, celebrities are now opting to leave behind Jennifer's look in favour of the long straight hair with a thick blunt fringe or bangs. The runways of New York, Paris and Milan are leading the way in this shift, and celebrities such as Reece Witherspoon, Halle Berry, Beyonce and Mischa have followed. Anne Hathaway's transformation from frump to fashionista in The Devil Wears Prada by way of a thick fringe also contributed strongly to the popularisation of the trend.
So, how long will the trend last, and what's going to be next? Victoria Beckham may be a fervent proponent of funky, cropped locks... but as a mainstream trend it's not likely to take over any time soon.

More celebrity addict than fashion diva, we leave it to Renata to give us our daily injection of society gossip that even Page Six would pass on. That's not as bad as it seems of course, as she's always able to tell you exactly was worn by that B-grade celebrity whose existence the rest of us would rather forget.
