
The rumour is that she left Sir Philip Green's Topshop last October angry that she was no consulted on the hiring of Kate Moss to design a collection. Be that as it may, a lot of speculation has surrounded just what Jane Shepherdson, the former brand director of Topshop, would do next.
Today it seems we know.
Along with "fashion entrepreneur and Jaeger owner Harold Tillman", Shepherdson is to "to launch a venture capital fund for new designers."
Tillman intends to launch the Fashion Enterprise Fund (FEF) this autumn, which will kick off with at least £5 million. The fund will invest in new designers who can provide credible business plans.Source: Retail WeekThe FEF will have support from the Centre for Fashion Enterpise, which has backed designers including Basso & Brooke and Marios Schwab.
Tillman and Shepherdson will interview prospective candidates and be available to offer advice during the early stages of their businesses.
