Whenever contemplating the impressive spectrum of women’s footwear that we so luckily get to enjoy day after day in all its variety, one might get the impression that pretty much all has been said, envisioned and done in the way of shoes. But the truth of the matter is that as long as imagination rules the fashion industry, we can count on a pair of killer heels being developed at this very moment.
And if the concept of experimental footwear usually leads to showcasing a great deal of creativity and less of the wearability, Alexander Siradekiana’s first shoe collection entitled “My Way” is here to prove us wrong. Despite the dramatic and playful touches, the classic black heels retain a sophistication-meets-edginess quality, turning them into a perfect fit for the everyday woman looking to make a statement.
From strappy bows to heels covered by cotton candy or black tassels, the Russian designer sought of new and intriguing ways to enhance a timeless pair of heels, without the need of sacrificing comfort. Alongside the classic shapes, the choice of traditional materials such as patent leather, suede, velvet and lace, turn the collection into an everlasting statement.
