Forget Me Not: the spirit of the Gypset traveller

Some people have a gypsy soul, a wanderlust that licks at the souls of their feet like flames. And some of them like to do their wandering in style.

For those, travel writer Julia Chaplin coined the portmanteau “Gypset” – the gypsy jet-setter – that luxury bohemian to whom the world is home. Taking that term as inspiration for their spring / summer 2013 collection, Forget Me Not created accessories that embody the spirit of the Gypset traveller. As always designer and illustrator Coco put her hand to wondrous creations that are just as much artworks you could hang on your wall as they are pieces you can wear.

Scarves are oversized. Headpieces mix the whimsy of illustration with the exoticism of fringe and tassle details. The colours and prints are fresh and aqueous. And at the essence of Forget Me Not, always, is the production of pieces you can invest in and keep forever – in a word, they’re timeless.
