Levi’s reinterprets the icons for autumn

Denim is never in real danger of losing its status as a universal wardrobe staple, but the threat of it becoming a little boring always lingers. Levi’s have been around since the beginning of the jean revolution, but in all the years have clung to the ability to make denim feel both cool and fresh.

It doesn’t take too much either. A little styling inventiveness and attitude, and the Levi’s fall 2013 look book is same, same, but very different: aptly taking the title ‘Icons Reinterpreted’.

Drawing from the brand’s long and famous heritage, the Levi’s autumn / winter collection stands out for its unlikely mashing of Western culture and Japanese refinement. The ‘trucker’ jacket gets a reworking for women with kimono-sleeves and an edgy cut; while Western shirts are a surefire way to land yourself in a pool of effortless Americana-inspired cool.
