It’s not often you see a collection and think, “wow this is only made up of three colours but it works”. Malene Oddershede Bach’s fall / winter 2013 range boasts a colour palette of cobalt blue, tomato red and kohl black, with tiny hints of green; literally on one dress. This trio of primal shades are put into a blender and whizzed round for a result that is strong, electric and pretty.
A fireball-esque print that is a cross between an atom and a thermal heat pad is one that stands out among the rest. Constructed into feminine silhouettes and sharp tailoring, it would be the perfect option for that statement shirt or trousers your wardrobe cries about every Winter. Other prints include a ditsy volcanic lava print in red and bright blue colourways; this comes in a cut out panelled bodycon and an occasion maxi option. Along with her printed pieces, Malene offers interesting outerwear and accessories. Makes sitting inside a Volcano sound fun right!? But no, don’t do it, just wear it!
