Cliff: Marta Gorczyca’s underground casual aesthetic

Drawing inspiration from Shirin Neshat’s visually contrasting work of art, a sum of black and white photographs, famous for their powerful hidden messages and symbolic undertones, Marta Gorczyca designed her own take on duality for autumn / winter 2013, following into the same path of conflicting realities. “Therefore, leather is combined with satin and silk. Every outfit includes natural leather to a larger or smaller extent. Dresses are draped on one side and they are tight fitting on the other side.”

Quite the powerful expression of femininity, so it comes as no surprise that only a self-confident woman would feel totally comfortable wearing Marta Gorczyca’s underground casual garments. Matching the dim vibe reflected by the designer’s sophisticated approach of fashionable contradiction, her autumn / winter look book is veiled by a dark urban mood, close to the edginess exuded by the beautiful clothes.

Shoot by Piotr Bramora (www.piotrbramora.pl), Marta Gorczyca’s first collection represents more than a clear direction as where her aesthetic is currently heading. A direction shaped by the designer’s strengths, striking individuality and unique vision. For now you can learn more about Marta Gorczyca’s brand, by visiting her facebook page – GM Fashion.
