Orla Kiely’s world is forever alive with prints, abundant, diverse and immediately recognizable ones. For resort 2014, the London-based designer set her mind on pretty hearts that were thoroughly explored both in small scale patterns, and in delicate heart-shaped appliques, adorning everything in between Kiely’s signature dresses, pastel colored cardigans and lightweight button-downs.
The utterly-girly collection that borrows inspiration from 1960s icons such as Françoise Hardy and Jane Birkin in terms of silhouette, includes playful polka-dots, little white collars and colorful belted shifts. The strawberry, pistachio and bubblegum color palette complements the array of beautifully retro-influenced slim trousers, crop tops and jacquard skirt suits.
Styled with black ankle socks and heeled loafers, the Swingy trench coat, the slim pencil skirts and the pleated minis rounded up the super sweet resort offering.
