Miss Greenâs Wardrobe is a series of eco fashion events with a strong focus on providing Melbourne fashionistaâs with economical and environmentally sustainable shopping options.
Rebecca George, director of Miss Greenâs Wardrobe, made her debut in the fashion scene by hosting a set of successful Designer Fashion Exchange Events at the prestigious inner city venue, Baroq House. Participants of Miss Greenâs Wardrobe Designer Fashion Exchange Events were invited to bring along between 1 to 5 gently worn, unwanted designer fashion items and swap them for something fresh and fabulous, updating menâs and womens wardrobes all over Melbourne, the friendly way.
Miss Greenâs next big event â Miss Greenâs Garden Party at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2009, is to be held in the lush surrounds of The Willows. Local established and emerging designers have been invited to take part in a fashion show and design an outfit worthy of the Spring Racing Carnival exclusively for the event. The difference is they must be created using only eco-friendly materials. Many of the pieces will be auctioned off at the Garden Party with 50% of the purchase price being donated to the designerâs favourite charity. Through Miss Greenâs Wardrobe events, Rebecca aims to enlighten guests on how they can become more conscious consumers, without having to compromise on style or quality.
