I was born and raised in the country town of Tagaytay in the Philippines. As a child I was exposed to fashion, sewing and pattern making through my grandmother. As a young girl, would spend her school breaks not playing with her friends but watching her grandmother make clothing patterns. After finishing studies in Philosophy at De La Salle University, I studied Business Opportunies in Fashion Design at Doloroso Careers Centre in the Philippines while working for acclaimed Filipina designer Patrice Ramos-Diaz. It was here where Pia decided to pursue a career in fashion. While working for various fashion companies such as Spencer, Speedo, Kasheica, and many other retailers, I discovered a passion for ready to wear and decided to focus on it. It is also around this time when I decided to take up pattern making courses. After that, I spent time learning about the fashion business by opening a small business that mass produces my original designs for major retailers in the Philippines such as Freeway, Whoops and Ensembles. After learning as much as she could, I decided to launch her own label: White Kitten. White Kitten is a limited line that ranges from cocktail and party to formal and evening wear that combines high fashion principles with a ready to wear attitude. White Kitten has been featured consistently in fashion publications in the Philippines and in Philippine Fashion week for the last 2 years and became a fave of young women who loves feminine style. I was also celebrated as one of the top ten designers for this year’s Philippine Fashion Week. In Sydney, I was both a volunteer and an attending designer for the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week S/S 2007 and has completed an internship with Australian designer Collette Dinniggan. Right now I am currently residing in Sydney where I will launch my line at an exhibit of the Transeasonal Collections of the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. I am also a member of the Textile, Clothing, and Footwear Association which is currently raising funds for the shipment of over 100 sewing machines donated from Australia to remote and impoverished parts of the Philippines to aid local economies.

Hello,

Your photos, and the fashions in which you represented is one of the few which are first rate within the membership of the groups, while being additionally highlighted with sophistication by your Asian appeal. I have a New York City Night Life ( NightLife ), RMC - which needs addtional elements which is needed to enhance is quality and audiance, and have been toying with the idea of devoting webpages for Models for Hire. What do you think?

Nonetheless, I wish you well.

Yours,
