If John Ciamillo’s photo series for issue IX of Bambi Magazine seems like an eclectic mix, that’s probably because it is. The shoot features no less than 20 models and while you can search hard for a narrative, you won’t find one. In fact no narrative is needed. Instead it’s like a chocolate box sampler of Ciamillo’s portraiture works; a set of seemingly unrelated images tied together with the thread of a trademark style. Each one represents Ciamillo’s preference for capturing raw, natural beauty because, as he describes it, capturing the girl is more important to him than capturing fashion.
Featuring 28 beautiful images, carefully edited together from Ciamillo’s unpublished works in conjunction with Bambi’s Editor In Chief, Chad Muller, the shoot spans about 8 months worth of shooting. Indulge in the full collection of natural, youthful beauty at the gallery above.
