2006 f.rock Independent Australian Fashion Show

Organised by the Northern Beaches Fashion Collective, f.rock provides a platform for up and coming designers to launch their collection in a theatrical catwalk parade attended by professionals and fashion enthusiasts from all walks of life.

September will see the launch of some of the hottest new designers from the northern beaches in Sydney – from funky street wear for men and women, sexy evening wear for women and original couture for any occasion.

Alex Zabotto-Bentley from Fashion Assassin will again be on hand as one of our key judges, along with last years head-lining designer Jason Checuti, and 2005 f.rock designers Nik Philpott (Artsu), Clinton Webster (clintoncharlie) and Helen Sattler (Boutio & The Complete Collection).

Hair design specialists Cassidy’s will be doing ‘the do’s’ and Napoleon Perdis will once again apply their makeup artistery on our gorgeous models. Combined with this years exciting new fashion designers, f.rock 2006 is set to be another successful extravaganza.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself.
