In its flickery black and white, Akiss Paraskevopoulos‘ latest video could have come straight off some old film reel. That would be, of course, were it not for the styling by Martha Dimaki that gives an edgy, modern take on Gothic Victoriana.
Akiss gives us a voyeurs view of the subject, creeping up across a deserted cemetery, or capturing the model through ornate wrought iron fences and gates. The settings are a perfect match for the styling and the deliberately jumpy quality of the video, giving the finished product an overall dark and subtly Gothic mood.
