A vision in white

Truth be told, not many can carry off an all-white ensemble. The balancing act of making it look classic chic and elegantly feminine is not easy.

But here, Anna Dello Russo has not only nailed the look, she has also struck the 1930s chord with a modern aesthetic.

I wish there was a front-on photo of this look, where her tucked-in shirt was more visible. The pant suit has been accessorised with a feathered hat and patent leather wedges. It’s all very neat and clean with the only distraction being a textured mustard clutch and golden buttons. Nothing else.

Having said that, only the Editor-at-large of Vogue Nippon can hit bull’s eye with such spotless styling and undying confidence.

Her bank account weeps every time she walks out of a shoe shop, but her shoe rack throws a 'welcome home' party for the new member. Her undying love for words is obvious when she narrates her entire life story to a stranger on the train. Which is partly the reason she's resorted to writing. When not blogging, she can be found in a corner of her nearest bookshop, hiding under a monstrous pile of international fashion magazines.
