In all the time we’ve been tracking nudity in fashion, we’ve seen more and more magazine editorials featuring varying degrees of bare skin, and yet it is still, of course, the European publications that are the most liberal. Vogue Australia seems to be finally warming to the trend, with their September 2009 issue featuring models Catherine McNeil and Abbey Lee Kershaw topless. Interestingly, we’ve seen one original set of images in which both models have nipple rings; yet in a second released set of images these have been airbrushed out. Perhaps the nipple bars were a little too fetishist for Vogue Australia?

From the sample of images we’ve seen so far (of which you can view by clicking the thumbnails below), the shoot looks to be warm, sensual, and quite simply beautiful; we’re looking forward to seeing the rest of the editorial.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
