We get so used to seeing the Victoria’s Secret Angels glistening with smiles as well as diamonds, that we forget (or perhaps start to doubt) that they can do much else. But lately we’ve seen the likes of Miranda Kerr branching out further into high fashion territory, and indeed Alessandra Ambrosio has been heading down the same path for a while now.
Russh Australia editor Stevie Dance puts her signature styling touches on this shoot for the magazine’s August/September 2010 issue. There’s a roughness; a bare foot beneath a billowing gown, the barbed wire beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge… and Will Davidson‘s black and white photography captures it well.
Perhaps most striking of all is the movement of Alessandra being swallowed up by fabric and wisps of hair as if in battle with the wind. You can see the whole gallery by clicking on the thumbnails below.
