As the ‘60s fashion revival rolls in, right on predicted schedule, the fashion shoots roll in with it. Some are, and will continue to be, faithful re-interpretations of the era, while others mix up the styling with a variety of other influences. East Side Story in The Sunday Telegraph is all about ladylike sixties silhouettes with “a distinctive downtown edge”. And Kate Sebbah gets the styling true to its word.

The key here is ruffling it up a bit. Prada’s heavy tunics and Louis Vuitton’s wool skirt suit with peter pan collar may have a certain primness, but the typical ’60s half-up Bardot hairstyle has been given a punky messy texture; the cat-eye sunglasses are a fragment of ’50s rock; and the ankle socks under heels are worn with a hint of attitude.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
