Carine Roitfeld is trend-tastic

Considered one of the most influential women within the fashion industry, Carine Roitfeld seems just as much a lover of fashion trends as ourselves. Turning heads in New York this week for more than just her new hair style, Roitfeld’s take on the negative hemline saw her indulged in one of the most recent fashion trends Fashionising.com has covered: hot pants. I’m still undecided about whether or not she’s wearing hot pants or a body suit (they’re part of the same trend), but Roitfeld managed to pair the look with more than just those trends.

Attending Nicola’s Pol’s “The Martus Maw”, presented by her son Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld together with Rvca, Roitfeld also indulged in suede over the knee boots from Christian Louboutin and a cape, all the while wearing them with sheer lace.

He was 5 when his teacher wrote on his report card “Daniel can’t sit still.” Taking it as a compliment, he’s been on the go ever since. Having flown over 590,000 kilometres in a single year (2012), he’s done much to push the boundaries of a fashioniser, always looking to fold one extra Tom Ford suit into his set of Samsonite cases and for one extra occasion to tie a tie for. As much an editor-at-large as he is Fashionising.com’s Editor-in-chief, when he's not travelling to all the fashion weeks his passports will allow him to, Daniel works on guiding this publication’s editorial and trend views.
