Melusine, the ill-fated water-spirit with a serpentine lower-half, might not strike you as an obvious source of beauty inspiration. But with wet-look hair bringing the mermaid back into the fore, paired with the fierceness of the warrior fashion trend, the present is more than conducive to these types of historical and mythological references. Caroline Trentini is Numero magazine’s Melusine, with makeup that’s a little akin to war-paint (only prettier) and outfits that belie her sweet looks with a harder edge.
