Chitra's Closet: Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009 parade

Aptly titled 'Bon Voyage La Grande Duchesse', the latest collection from Chitra's Closet is a nostalgic trip back to the early half of the 20th century. The collection was marked by an earthy palette of vintage-inspired colours and fabrics, demure hemlines and two-piece suits with three-quarter sleeved jackets that brought the silhouettes of the forties and fifties to the modern day.
Some pieces harked back to even the Victorian era of high-buttoned necks and winter velvets. Vintage lovers will find many a covetable piece - my personal favourite a warm ivory pleated cape.
