In a set of photographs by well known Austrian artist Erwin Wurm, Claudia Schiffer walks around with a toy pig on her head, has pens in between her toes and well, we aren’t exactly sure what she is doing with this broom. But while the shoot may seem little more than a series of bizarre photos, take into account Wurm’s artistic background and fascination with everyday objects, and the editorial – titled Kunst Pausen (Art Paused) – suddenly has more meaning.

Wurm’s famed series of ‘One Minute Sculptures’ began in the 1980s, and in them Wurm poses people as temporary sculptures, often in bizarre or even humorous situations involving commonplace objects. In November’s Vogue Deutsch, Schiffer herself becomes a series of one minute sculptures under the impulsive guidance of Wurm.

But the art isn’t the only focus of the shoot. From a fashion perspective, the shoot is all about the trench: with Schiffer wearing classic trenchcoats by the likes of Ralph Lauren Blue Label, Maison Martin Margiela, Burberry Prorsum, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Comme des Gar?ßons, Rene Lezard, Lacoste and A.P.C.
