Ever wondered what would happen if autumn and spring were friends? It would be a strange, incoherent friendship that’d be disputing with nature’s norms.

Now imagine if that acquaintanceship was highlighted in the fashion industry. Just as the change of season thrives on new fabrics, fresh set of colours and a rebooted aesthetic, Celine’s latest ad campaign breathes into an unexpected quintessence.

In its fall 2011 offering, Celine continues to boast its minimalist, boyish charm, but it comes with a subtle hint of freshness. Branches of pink cherry blossom and leafy green palm leaves create an unusual backdrop for the earthy tones of the collection. An assured flowery cheerfulness is set against mustard and rust-coloured clothes.

Featuring models, Monika Sawicka and Kirsi Pyrhonen, the campaign images are photographed by Juergen Teller. By using a bright flash, the prominent texture and fabrics stand out. It forces you to look at the clothes and ignore the rest.

But of course, when the trademark Celine handbag falls in the picture, you can’t help but divert your eyes to its structured beauty.
