One Magdalena Frackowiak is usually enough to heat up any photo to a tropical degree. In the shoot Dédoublement, Ben Hassett uses photographic trickery to give us an angelic host of Magdalenas. The duplication isn’t just a way to magnify the star power of the model; it’s basis is an artistic one. Magdalena becomes an often faceless clone, or a figure that melds with an artistic backdrop that matches the prints of the clothing.
In other shots she’s both a reality and a ghostly apparition, one unable to reach the other.
Styled by Patti Wilson, the shoot makes for beautiful viewing. Click on the thumbnails above to view more.
