Sweeping fields of flowers and soft feminine dresses go together like the proverbial horse and carriage. But even after endless shoots that marry the two in sweet harmony, alike in concept be they may, it’s a pairing that rarely feels tired. For The Telegraph’s Goodwood magazine stylist Michelle Duguid gives things an effortless touch – like the perfect romance between a sheer pleated dress, flat leather laceups that look buttery soft and worn-in, and a straw boater hat; or a dreamy white lace blouse worn with a floppy hat trimmed in tulle (the last of which is from Miss Jones by Stephen Jones); or one of Mark Fast’s intricate webs of crochet and fringing. All feminine, all inspired by the softness of those budding flowers.
The beautiful photography was by Nick Dorey. For more inspiration on dressing for the flower fields click on the thumbnails and view the full shoot.
