H&M may generate their models by placing a real head on a digital body, but Elle Taiwan prefers to do things in reverse. For their 20th anniversary the magazine has decided to forgo a traditional cover model replacing her with a gigantic real life Hello Kitty for their special edition. It’s not the first nor the last time that Hello Kitty will show up on [or in] a fashion magazine, though this certainly ranks as one of the more unsettling appearances. Is it a case of culture shock or do you believe Hello Kitty, at the very least in this incarnation, does not belong on a cover?

The Hello Kitty covers happily will not hit the newsstands where they would be frightening to children and the elderly, instead you’ll most likely encounter the cover below.
