What more beautiful and clever use of a reflective surface than in this shoot by Warren du Preez and Nick Thornton? The styling by Franck Benhamou points to the same creature as does the shoot’s title: Nymphe. At times looking the water nymph in azure blue or sequins, at others Eniko Mihalik is swathed in ruffles or fresh flowers appearing as a mythological sprite of the mountains or woods. The mirrored surface not only makes for a neat photography effect but also draws parallels of Echo – that famed nymph cursed to only repeat the words of others – and her reflection-loving Narcissus.
Stunningly shot for issue 133 of Numero Magazine, you can view the full shoot of Eniko Mihalik at the gallery above.
