Faded world of denim

Denim has more to it than it being just a fabric. It’s a trend, a colour and a flashback into the ’90s when the denim revolution struck the fashion world.

After the transformation of denim over the years, just as we thought we’d seen it all, there comes another photo shoot strutting our way that exemplifies some of the denim trends for 2011.

The monotony of shooting denim is foregone, but Marcus Ohlsson proves otherwise in this Vs magazine editorial. Jewel-toned shoes accompany slim cut jeans in washed-up, coloured and traditional denim. The daring white denim shines out, as does the strategically faded-out denim jacket. Whether you wear red or peach coloured bottoms, be sure to make a statement with it.

Also, don’t let the voluminous hair fool you because this story is all about living in the present times.

Her bank account weeps every time she walks out of a shoe shop, but her shoe rack throws a 'welcome home' party for the new member. Her undying love for words is obvious when she narrates her entire life story to a stranger on the train. Which is partly the reason she's resorted to writing.
