With the recent opening of her Melbourne GPO store as well as the launch of her new book, designer Fleur Wood has much to celebrate. The book, titled Food Fashion Friends: recipes and styling for unforgettable parties, is all about stylish entertaining; and that’s precisely what was demonstrated at last week’s launch event. Petite pastries and platters of Green & Black’s organic chocolate circulated the crowd. Nonchalant stacks of the book sat atop wicker chairs for guests to peruse. The store itself is a quirky mix of hand-picked accessories and display items lining the walls around the racks of Wood’s feminine frocks, tops and playsuits, with the whole setup perfectly personifying the Fleur Wood brand.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
