Before heading to last night’s Fiesta Connect Party I wondered how the star of the event – the new Ford Fiesta – would make it to the upper level poolside balcony of St Kilda’s Circa. But just like magic, there she was; a sleek little 4-door hatch in shimmering ‘chilli’ orange, on proud display in front of the DJ deck where the tall, blonde Nervo twins played their set of pumping dance tunes. There was little fanfare around the technical and mechanical details of the car; rather guests were free to eat, drink, be merry and get a feel for the new Fiesta from both outside and in.
