Forever New is a brand that’s seen rapid expansion since it first launched at Chadstone two years ago. Following a similar model to retail giants like Topshop or H&M, only on a much smaller scale, Forever New makes up-to-date styles accessible to a lower-spend demographic. The range of accessories stocked by the store are particularly impressive; from shoes, to sunglasses, to bags and jewellery.

Forever New’s latest Melbourne store also offers a unique styling service, where trained stylists can help you put together an outfit, as well as touching up your hair and makeup in-store. The presentation of the store is a far cry from the dinginess of the Bras’n'Things that once resided there, and the upper level houses a special collection by ‘Lipsy of London’ that’s definitely worth a look.

We’ve recently been giving some thought to recession-proofing your wardrobe (and we’ll be presenting lots of tips in our next Fashionising.com Podcast). Forever New presents a perfect opportunity to mix in low-cost trend pieces with designer staples, a great way to balance your wardrobe and your credit card.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
