Preppy is cool. Admittedly it has been for sometime, but the popularity of Gossip Girl has done the look no harm. Seeking to capitalise on it is designer Christian Francis Roth with his Spring-Summer 2009 collection for label Francis.

The sexed-up-school girl look featured in Gossip Girl oozes from his two looks left and middle; but what’s with the last? A parody? A wink? A nod? A swipe?
