Being skeptical of your identity can be a difficult state to live in. You’re either a girl living in a boy’s body or vice versa. This transformation game has been captured and portrayed numerous times in the fashion industry.

In this Tush magazine editorial, the subject of androgyny has once again been kissed on the cheek, but this time, it isn’t just a peck. It’s a full-fledged kiss with a very strong meaning and narrative.

How important are clothes in affirming androgynous styling? Can a masculine body be enough to establish a lady’s betrayal to her feminine side?

Such questions are raised on a deep inspection of these images where model Natasa Vojnovic seems to be mitigating her physical appearance through her clothes.

The oversized wool jacket, pleated men’s trousers and a perfectly V-shaped tie sit firmly on her sculpted body. Even the body is trying to balance itself on the gender lines, as the musclier arms and shoulders compete with the womanly toned stomach. A stub of cigarette is placed on fuchsia-painted lips and killer stilettos are worn with knee-high men’s socks. Her 80s-inspired waves and contouring cheekbones add to the dilemma.

Whether she’s dressing to impress her corporate business clients or simply stomping on fashion’s sexual perimeters, it’s now entirely up to you to comprehend the rest.
