Helmut Newton’s polaroids

A new title featuring the work of Helmut Newton, one of the most influential fashion photographers of all time title, cometh: Helmut Newton: Polaroids.

Its release perfectly timed given just how cool Polaroids and all old-school photographer is again, this coffee table book offers a rare insight into the test photos that Newton took prior to undertaking each of his photo shoots.

It transpires that Helmut Newton kept all his test Polaroids and that’s how the Helmut Newton Polaroids book comes to be. Collected and edited by his widow June Newton, the book offers a rare look at test Polaroids “from a selection of [Newton's] greatest shoots over a period of decades, including many from the TASCHEN titles SUMO, A Gun for Hire, and Work.”

Retailing for US$59.95, Helment Newton: Polaroids is currently available for pre-order from Amazon US for US$38. It’s also available from Amazon UK.
